ITSS are proud to announce that at the Becta National ICT Excellence Awards Ceremony in Sheffield last night we were awarded the Winner (joint) of the Supporting Schools category. This is a UK wide award and details can be found at:

| Malicious and Unwanted Email |

Users of both personal and school email accounts are reminded of the need for vigilance when opening email messages and attachments. In particular, if you receive an email with an unexpected attachment you are strongly advised to delete it immediately without opening it.
The level of spam and virus filtering on the email system will be increased over the course of this term but such systems learn from experience and so cannot be guaranteed to detect all unwanted and malicious messages.
You should also ensure that your anti-virus software is always kept up-to-date using its Live Update (or similar) facility.

You are strongly advised to set the Durham Schools Portal page (www.durhamlearning.net) as your internet homepage as this will ensure that you are always using the correct link to the DLG, and important news about the system will be posted on this page.
